My Mama Nutrition Story

After I gave birth…I was struggling.

I was a starving, thirsty, and tired breastfeeding mom who didn’t know how to take care of her body in order to take care of her baby. I felt like I should know how to heal and feel better since I was a dietitian, but I was just trying to survive.

As I got further out from birth, I learned that I needed more nutrition now as a breastfeeding mom than I did pregnant. I knew I needed more protein to heal, but no one had told me any of this at my postpartum visit or even after delivery in the hospital.

I want to help heal as many mamas as I can and help them feel more whole after the hard work of growing and delivering a human, and then growing them some more if breastfeeding. Even if you’re not breastfeeding, you still need nutrition to heal and deal with the stress of being a mom. You are amazing mama….and you deserve to feel good.
